The revista española de pedagogía (ISSN: 0034-9.461) was founded at 1943 by the Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas (Spanish High Council of Scientific Research), and it is now published from 1995 by the Instituto Europeo de Iniciativas Educativas.

It is present in the selective Social Sciences Citation Index. Moreover, it is also included in the Journal Citation Reports/Social Sciences Edition and in the Social Scisearch, as well as equally it could be found in others many databases, as ISOC, Latindex, FRANCIS, etcetera. A list of the databases and national and international catalogs figuring the revista española de pedagogía appear in the paper version of the review.

The revista española de pedagogía publishes three issues a year, which constitute a volume of about 600 pages.
