They are also responsible for ensuring the scientific and ethical quality of the content and implementing rigorous processes to detect and manage conflicts of interest. They maintain fluid communication with authors and reviewers and constantly seek ways to innovate and improve editorial processes.

It also monitors and analyzes bibliometric metrics, such as the Impact Factor and CiteScore, to evaluate a journal's performance and impact on the scientific community. It also optimizes the article metadata to improve the visibility of the search engine and the academic database. It develops strategies to improve the journal’s performance in bibliometric rankings continuously, promote collaborations, and foster its recognition in the academic field.
