Resumen

The autor examines the way of making effective the collaboration which the primary school, the gymnasium and the university ought to lend to the professional guidance of the young people. The educator has two principal aims: a) to apply his knowledge to the psychological and sociological characteristics of his pupils; b) the professional guidance of these when they have to choose a profession. In the discussion held to decide whether the primary school or the psychotecnic laboratory has to give the professional advice, the author prefers the last one; but he says that it is a duty of the school to be ready to collaborate efficiently with the laboratory and to substitute in there where its sphere of action cannot reach. The autor ends his article with a critical study of the guiding sense which must preside the pedagogical work of the secondary and high teaching centers.
